August Wilson’s liver cancer will not stop the playwright from working.

Pulitzer Prize winner, August Wilson says he has inoperable liver cancer and has only three to five months to live. The 60-year-old playwright’s cancer was found in June. Further tests showed that the cancer was too advanced to receive treatment.

The plays Wilson has written won him a Tony Award, an Olivier Award, two Pulitzer Prizes, five New Play Awards/Citations from the American Theatre Critics Association, seven New York Drama Critics Circle Awards and an Emmy nomination.
