Sierra Nevada Cancer Center to hold writing workshops.


The Sierra Nevada Cancer Center will be holding a writing workshop for cancer patients, survivors, their caregivers, and families beginning April 7, 2005.

A series of eight classes called "Writing to Heal," will be taught by Molly Fisk.

The series runs from April 7 through May 26.

The classes meet from 3 to 5 p.m. at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, Classroom A.

There will be a $20 fee to cover the series.

Fisk explains that the key to using writing to heal is to write about events while simultaneously drawing on emotions to embellish the bare facts. She has developed a process that she says makes this kind of writing fun and enriching.
