I HAVE featured pieces by the author of this week's piece, Mr Sunanda K. Datta-Ray, a number of times previously. Normally, he writes serious pieces about weighty political issues. In this piece, he turns his talent - and very successfully, too - to satire.

Because - inspired by his piece - I got carried away with my own little story (see The Worksheet), there isn't room to say much about his writing technique.
